Pepcid is for short-term cure of GERD, a disorder when stomach acid contents flow back to the esophagus. The drug treats and prevents ulcers.
Use Pepcid following the doctor's directions. It requires some time to see the drug effects. Those who take some other antacids, should contact the doctor before starting to use Pepcid.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. Though you should always space out the dosages remained. Never use two or more doses at once.
