Therapeutic indications: osteoporosis treatment and prevention.

The medication is a bisphosphonate. It functions by slowing bone loss.

The mode of administration: take 1 pill of the drug 2 days in the mornings once every month. Make sure you do not exceed the amount of 2 tablets a month unless your physician tells you otherwise. No transformation like crushing or chewing should be made to the pills. Wash them down with water only; no juice, mineral water or any other drink is allowed. It is required that you stay in the upright position and not lie down for about half-an-hour after the drug administration. Provided you felt better after a while do not stop the therapy course.

Do not make up for the left out dose taking double. Try not to miss the doses.

Make sure the kids and pets have no access to the drug. It requires a dry, cool and dark place and 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) of temperature.
