Phenergan

Phenergan produces an antihistamine effect. It blocks chemical histamine that gets into your body.

Drug helps prevent motion illness, and treats vomiting, nausea and pain in patients after surgery. Medication is useful to reduce allergy symptoms, including hives, itchy skin, rashes, sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes. This drug has a sedative effect and can be used as sleep aid.

Do not take Phenergan and contact the doctor immediately if you noticed uncontrollable or twitching eye movements, or the same effects with tongue, face, lips, arms, or legs. It can indicate severe side effects. Phenergan is inappropriate for children under 2 years old. Giving this medication to children follow your doctor's instructions strictly. It has side effects impeding reactions and thinking. Caution driving or doing anything requiring special concentration of attention. Do not drink alcohol as it increases some side effects of Phenergan. Inform your doctor about all medications you use, including herbal products, minerals, vitamins and drugs prescriptions made by other doctors. Tell the doctor before taking a new drug. Make a list of all the medicines you take and show it to a healthcare provider who treats you.
