Amaryl is for managing type 2 diabetes in people who failed to control the levels of blood sugar with a diet and exercise. You should combine the drug with a certain diet and exercise. Amaryl interacts with other antidiabetic medications.
Amaryl is in a group of sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine. Its effect induces the pancreas to release insulin thus helping to decrease blood sugar.
This drug is not for the use of patients who have allergy to a component in it or who have such serious problems attributed to diabetes as diabetic coma and diabetic ketoacidosis. You are not to take this medicine if you use bosentan, if you have moderate to severe burns, or very high blood acid levels.
